A RECORD BREAKING IBRA | PSG Player Of The Month

•Sweden international Zlatan Ibrahimovic was voted Paris Saint-Germain Player of the Month for December by the fans on PSG.FR.
Winner of the Trophée UNFP in November for Ligue 1 player of the month, Zlatan Ibrahimovic continued to shine in December, with a host of new club records. Away to Nice, the big Swede laid on the first goal for Edinson Cavani before scoring a double himself to claim another club record.
With 87 Ligue 1 goals, the Paris No.10 overtook Mustapha Dahleb (85) as Paris Saint-Germain’s all-time leading scorer in Ligue 1. And he shows no signs of slowing down. Zlatan scored his sides second in the 2-0 Champions League win over Shakhtar Donetsk, overtaking George Weah as the club’s all-time leading scorer in European competition with 17 continental strikes.
He netted another double against Lyon (5-1) and a few days later, in the Coupe de la Ligue against Saint-Etienne, went close to scoring one of the goals of the season with a stunning shot that crushed against the crossbar.
Barely 72 hours later, the giant netted another breath-taking goal against Caen. From 25 metres out, Ibra sent a first time shot crashing into the top corner of the Rémy Vercoutre’s goal!
Behind the Swede came Angel Di Maria in second. The Argentine has clearly settled well in Paris and, against Lyon, provided three assists, added another for Cavani versus Saint-Etienne and also scored a brace against Caen. And finally, Kevin Trapp completed the top three with his penalty save against Caen as a few brilliant stops.
DECEMBER PLAYER OF THE MONTH:
1. ZLATAN IBRAHIMOVIC: 36.3%
2. ANGEL DI MARIA: 27.1%
3. KEVIN TRAPP: 6%
