Sunday Oliseh resigns as Super Eagles coach

Sunday Oliseh has resigned as Super Eagles head coach.
The former Juventus midfielder, who took over from sacked Stephen Keshi seven months ago, on Thursday tendered his resignation letter and thank the NFF for giving him such opportunity.

The former Eagles captain took to his social media to announce his resignation citing problems he is facing as coach: contract violations; lack of support; unpaid wages; benefits to players, assistant coaches and to him.
The Nigeria football federation (NFF) Genenral Secretary, Dr Mohammed Sansusi confirmed this to Supersport:
“Yes, we have received a letter from him and I can tell you he has resigned as coach of the national team (Super Eagles).”
He further added “I can tell you the content of the letter yet because we haven’t met to deliberate on it. We are in Zurich for the Fifa congress but as soon as we are through with the meeting, you will be in the know.”
