Brazil sack Dunga after Copa America exit


Brazil coach Dunga was sacked on Tuesday after the Selecao’s humiliating group-stage elimination from the Copa America Centenario.

The Brazilian Football Confederation said in a statement it had decided to fire Dunga and “dissolve the Brazilian national team’s coaching staff” following their latest debacle.

Atletico Madrid are confident that coach Diego Simeone will remain at the club next season despite speculation about his future.
The Argentine said after his side's Champions League final defeat by Real Madrid last month that he needed time to consider his options and Spanish media reports have linked the 46-year-old with the vacant coaching position at Paris St Germain.

Sissoko reveals desire to join Arsenal


Moussa Sissoko has confirmed that he wants to leave Newcastle United this summer and admits he would welcome a move to Arsenal.
The 26-year-old was part of the Newcastle side that suffered relegation from the Premier League this season, but the midfielder has no plans to play in the Championship next term.

Boxing legend Muhammad Ali dies aged 74



Muhammad Ali has died at the age of 74, a family spokesman has said. The former world heavyweight boxing champion, one of the world's best-known sportsmen, had been in hospital in the US city of Phoenix in Arizona state.

He had been fighting a respiratory illness, a condition that has been further complicated by Parkinson's disease. The funeral will take place in Ali's hometown of Louisville, Kentucky, his family said.
