Brazil sack Dunga after Copa America exit


Brazil coach Dunga was sacked on Tuesday after the Selecao’s humiliating group-stage elimination from the Copa America Centenario.

The Brazilian Football Confederation said in a statement it had decided to fire Dunga and “dissolve the Brazilian national team’s coaching staff” following their latest debacle.

Atletico expect Simeone to stay put


Atletico Madrid are confident that coach Diego Simeone will remain at the club next season despite speculation about his future.
The Argentine said after his side's Champions League final defeat by Real Madrid last month that he needed time to consider his options and Spanish media reports have linked the 46-year-old with the vacant coaching position at Paris St Germain.

National team coach Dunga has long coveted his skipper for the tournament, which will be played for the first time on Brazilian soil in Rio de Janeiro.

Rafael Benitez take over at Newcastle United

Rafael Benitez has been appointed as the manager of Newcastle United after the Premier League strugglers finally sacked Steve McClaren on Friday

Benitez travelled to St James' Park to sign an initial three-year contract and will be in charge for Monday night's trip to leaders Leicester City.

NFF Reappoints Siasia

Nigeria has re-appointed Samson Siasia as Head Coach of the Senior National Football Team, Super Eagles. He will work with respected tactician Salisu Yusuf, FIFA U-17 World Cup –winner Emmanuel Amuneke and Alloy Agu for the upcoming 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Egypt.

The combination was recommended by the NFF Technical and Development Committee following Sunday Oliseh’s resignation on twitter in the early hours of Friday.
