Jose Mourinho is close to agreeing a deal to become the new manager of Manchester United, according to Sky Sport Italia.
The Portuguese coach has been strongly linked with a move to Old Trafford since his sacking by Chelsea and speculation has intensified following confirmation of Pep Guardiola's move to Manchester City.
The former FC Porto, Inter Milan, Real Madrid and Chelsea boss has been jobless since losing his job at Stamford Bridge after series of poor results which led to the Premier League Champions battling just above the relegation zone.
Mourinho has always expressed his desire to coach in Old Trafford following the resignation of Sir Alex Ferguson.
