John Terry to quit Chelsea

John Terry has announced that he will depart Chelsea this summer after 18 seasons with the London side.


Speaking to reporters following the Blues' comfortable 5-1 FA Cup fourth round victory over MK Dons on Sunday, Terry confirmed reports that his contract at the club would not be extended beyond the end of the current campaign.

John Terry who has spent his entire career at Stamford Bridge, will not have his contract renewed and will leave at the end of the 2015-16 campaign

In a statement released by the defender following the Blues' FA Cup win over MK Dons, Terry said: "It's my last run in the FA Cup so I want to make it a good one. It's a big season for me and I want to push on - not just in this competition but in the Premier League''

John Terry is the club's highest-scoring defender, with 66 goals in almost 700 competitive appearances.
