Kurt Zouma out for 6 months with ACL damage


Chelsea defender Kurt Zouma has been ruled out for the remainder of the Premier League season after suffering anterior cruciate ligament damage in the 1-1 draw with Manchester United

"Chelsea Football Club's medical team have diagnosed that Kurt Zouma sustained an injury to his anterior cruciate ligament during yesterday's Premier League game against Manchester United.

"Kurt will undergo surgery in the next 48 hours and is expected to be out for approximately six months" read a Chelsea statement.

Zouma will undergo knee surgery that will rule him out the rest of the season and the European Championship for France.

Zouma, who has been capped twice by France, landed awkwardly during Chelsea1-1 draw with Manchester United and injured his anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee.
Zouma is "expected to be out for approximately six months," Chelsea said Monday.
