Barcelona had Luis Suarez to thank as they battled back to a 2-1 Champions League victory over Atletico Madrid, with the Uruguayan hitman netting both the hosts’ goals in an enthralling contest.

The Blaugrana’s hopes of putting Saturday’s Clasico defeat behind them took an early blow at Camp Nou when Fernando Torres once again struck to give Atletico a dream start.
The ex-Chelsea man went on to pick up a red card, however, and numerical superiority paid for Barca as Suarez scored twice in a one-sided second half to seal a narrow quarter-final triumph.
