FIFA writes NFF on Jos ruling, threatens to sanction Nigeria

World football ruling body, FIFA, yesterday threatened to sanction Nigeria if she breaches its statutes relating to dispute resolution.

In a letter entitled, “Verdict of the Jos High Court,” and addressed to Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) President, Amaju Pinnick, FIFA warned that the Jos Federal High Court decision, “if implemented, would likely be considered as an interference in FIFA rule "



Minister urges Pinnick, Giwa to respect rule of law

The Minister of Youth and Sports, Solomon Dalung, has urged the parties involved in the current Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) leadership crisis to respect the rule of Law.

Reacting to the ruling of a High Court in Jos last Friday, which nullified the election of the present NFF board,
the minister said in a statement yesterday in Abuja, ‎that the development has created confusion
